To help you make that lasting impression, here are the untold, little secrets, to keep your perfume fragrant ATT, keeping you smelling simply marvellous.

It’s all in the pulse 

Most of us are guilty of committing an olfactory faux-pas by spritzing on to our clothes. Not only are you ruining your delicate georgettes and silk-linens, but you’re also wasting your precious scent. Instead, spritz onto your pulse points, that is: behind you ears, inside your wrists, the nape of your neck, inside your elbows and behind your knees. These are the warmest areas of your body and so the heat will ensure your perfume lasts all day long.

We’re always game for a Vaseline hack 

Vaseline is occlusive, hence it makes your perfume last longer as compared when sprayed onto dry skin. Just take a little dab of it onto your fingers and apply to the areas before you spritz on your favourite fragrance.

Dabbing is for amateurs 

When you dab your wrists together, albeit out of habit, the top notes tend to disappear faster and as a result your fragrance does not last as long. To make truly everlasting, spritz some onto your wrists and let it dry on its own.

Citrus and florals for the after-shower 

The best way to lock in the scent is with the moisture on your skin. Moisture levels are high immediately after bath-time, so spritzing your perfume at this point of time will make you smell good throughout the day.

Mix your fragrance with your body lotion 

Yes, this does actually work! To keep smelling awesome all day long mix your fragrance with unscented lotion and apply it every morning. But make sure your lotion is totally fragrance free so that it doesn’t overpower the scent of your perfume.

And remember, when somebody smells good, we automatically perceive them as attractive. And if that isn’t incentive enough–we don’t know what is!
